A Few Photos

This is a great wreath my sister Elise made for our sister-in-law Rachel. I think it's pretty neat!

Yesterday I took a few snapshots of Natasha and Garret. Natasha found my hair flowers and really wanted to wear one.

Garret of course, was just curious about my umbrella studio light. He thought that would be a ton of fun to play with.

And of course, my camera is much to be desired. It's a very fascinating grab-able device you know.

So it's true, I did practice my photography a little this week!

The To Do List

Believe it or not, I actually do have a to do list. To be honest I'm having a hard time getting it all done. Time goes by too quickly, and I have to stay up late to get some of it done.

I'm way behind in my crocheting. Fall is sneaking up really fast and I need to get a good amount of inventory made.

My to do list for the next couple of weeks. Whether or not I am actually able to get this all done in the time allotment I want, I don't know. But hey, at least I'm trying!

•Make at least 6 pumpkin hats
•Make at least 4 animal hats
•Make at least 2 headbands
•Make at least 20 new bookmarks
•Make at least 2 fall scarves
•Practice my photography
•Begin Chalean Extreme workout
•Finish cd one of Pimsleur Italian
•Clean up my computer and back up photos on my new external hard drive
•Finish making curtains for the living room
•Make a little corner of the bedroom more photography friendly
•Blog a little more often
•Sight read for at least 15 minutes at least 4 times a week (piano)
•Learn more photoshop techniques

Yes, you read right. I DID put clean my room at the bottom of the list!

Surprise Anniversary Party

Saturday we attended an anniversary party that was put on as a surprise for the parents by the children. Finger foods, cake, and dancing!

I managed to snap a few photos of the occasion.

Elise and mom.

The girls having fun conversations.

A few table decorations.

The cake was very lovely! I wish I could have eaten some.

The candied almonds are really addictive!

Beautiful music. Sadly I don't know the names of these people.

Such a cute little fellow!

Laurel, wearing a dress she made for the occasion.

Nawelle and Laurel.

Abigail, Anna, and Katherine.

Dad and David.

The dancing. Mom took these ones. Too bad I can't take pictures and dance at the same time!

Aaron and Mallory Courter Wedding

Saturday, Aaron Courter and Mallory Powell were wedded with a beautiful ceremony. I was able to get a few shots of the wedding, though I neglected to take any later during the reception. Oops.

Kevin Turley began by reading scripture and giving a message.

The flower girls.

The beautiful bride.

The two where wedding by Mr. Powell, however, he stayed behind them and I never was able to get a shot with him in it.

Aaron's brother and Mallory's brother also shared scripture with us.

Putting on the rings.

Their first kiss...truly their FIRST kiss ever.

I always wondered why "You may kiss the bride" is still such an important part of a worldly wedding ceremony, as if they need permission to kiss...for the 1000th time.
But for Aaron and Mallory, it really was their first time. This in itself is a beautiful testimony that is it possible remain pure in our culture.
I hope to see many more weddings like this, where young people have committed their lives to serving God in their marriage with purity of heart.

Proverbs 4:23 Keep they heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.
